Description
Located in Taos, New Mexico, the Kit Carson house is now a National Historic Landmark and museum dedicated to the legendary, trapper, trailblazer and Indian fighter of the old American west. Carson moved here in 1849. He died in 1868 and is buried in a nearby cemetery. The building is a good example of territorial and Spanish Colonial architecture.
