The famous Sun Studio, Memphis, Tennessee, where many of the legendary rock and roll, blues, R&B, and country music stars recorded. Among the renowned artists recording here were Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Charlie Rich, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King and Howlin' Wolf. Also home to Sun Records, the studio was opened by Sam Phillips in 1950. Many consider it to be the birthplace of Rock and Roll. This image also available in black and white..
