Artist's Description
St. Marks Light, 1831, is the second-oldest lighthouse in Florida. It is located on the St. Marks River approximately 20 miles south of Tallahassee. During the American Civil War it was used at times by both Confederate and Union forces to observe enemy ship movements in Apalachee Bay. Original acrylic painting, 10 x 8-inches. Sharing always appreciated.
