Description
The beautiful French village of Les Andelys along the Seine River in Normandy about 70 miles north of Paris. In addition to its charming architecture, the town is known for its medieval castle, Château-Gaillard, built in 1196 by Richard the Lionheart, Duke of Normandy and King of England. The castle, not visible here, was later conquered by French king Philip Augustus in 1204, returning the region to France. Social media sharing always appreciated.
