Description
With its Art Nouveau lamps, magnificent statues and extravagant detailing, the Alexander III Bridge spanning the Seine River is considered one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris. It was completed in 1900 for the World's Fair (along with the Grand Palace and Eiffel Tower) and is named after Tsar Nicholas Alexander III, to commemorate the Franco-Russian Alliance of 1892.
