Description
Built in 1731 by Franciscan friars, this is the best preserved of San Antonio, Texas,' chain of five missions. Missions were a major part of Spain's plan to establish and manage a colonial frontier in what is now the American Southwest. Mission Concepcion is now a national historic preservation site.
