Description
Goldfield, once a prosperous gold mining town, is now a mostly reconstructed ghost town located near Apache Junction, Arizona. Soon after the gold strike in 1892, Goldfield boasted a population of 1,500 with 3 saloons, a boarding house, general store, blacksmith shop, brewery, meat market and school house. The town's prosperity, however, came to an quick end about five years later when the vein faulted. Today it is a popular Arizona tourist attraction. Social media sharing always appreciated.
